In the film Acropolis, 2001, the film-maker Eva Stefani deconstructs the ideological use of the Parthenon by juxtaposing views of the monument to views of female bodies from super 8 *ographic footage. The juxtaposition evokes comparisons of feelings of desire and practices of commercialisation, with the monument remaining mute, like the women in the super 8.
