The film was based on the stories of border guards who, in the first period of Russian aggression (May-September 2014), within the units of the State Border Service, heroically defended the territorial integrity of Ukraine. The director of the film Vasyl Rybalchenko noted that the genre of the film is difficult to define, it is a hybrid, because it consists of artistic and chronic parts, and in fact is a documentary. The tape was built on a novel principle, with reconstructions of those events that were physically impossible to remove in a real war. The peculiarity of this film, according to the creators, is that it did not remove any professional actor, all the characters are real military frontier*en, who during the shooting of the film revealed unique artistic abilities.
